The original Speed Racer animated series debuted in 1967 and after 42 years, it is one of kids’ entertainment’s most recognizable cultural icons.  John and James Rocknowski, principles of Speed Racer Enterprises, acquired the intellectual property rights to the animated Speed Racer brand from Tatsunoko Productions in 1991.  Speed Racer Enterprises handles licensing and merchandising for both the classic Speed Racer and the new animated series Speed Racer: The Next Generation.  Lionsgate is also the worldwide distribution company for both television and home entertainment.  Speed Racer Enterprises is located online at www.speedracer.com.
